Multibody Dynamics

Multi-Body Dynamics predicts the dynamic behavior of an assembly in motion, where forces may be applied to one or more rigid bodies that are connected to each other through kinematic constraints or contacts. It uses rigid bodies to perform a transient analysis, which allows you to obtain results quickly.

The use of flexible bodies provides more accurate results for many applications because the vibration and structural damping of the flexible bodies is included in the simulation.

LS DYNA capacities include multi-physics, CFD (compressible and incompressible), frequency domain dynamics, NVH, electromagnetism, conjugate heat transfer, mesh free methods, discrete element method, complete fluid-structure, SPH-structure capabilities.

LS DYNA is optimized for shared and distributed memory Unix, Linux, and Windows based, platforms, and it is fully QA'd by LSTC. The code's origins lie in highly nonlinear, transient dynamic finite element analysis using explicit time integration.

Generative Design / Topology Optimization

Generative design is a process.
