EnginSoft USA Expands CFD Services Department, Welcomes Dr. Puxuan Li
MCKINNEY, Texas – June 13, 2024 – EnginSoft USA is excited to announce the expansion of our Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Services Department and the appointment of Dr. Puxuan Li as the newest member of the department. This strategic move aligns with our commitment to enhancing our capabilities and delivering top-tier CFD solutions to our clients.
Dr. Puxuan Li brings a wealth of expertise and a distinguished academic background to EnginSoft USA. He holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Kansas State University and a Master's degree from McNeese State University, with a robust focus on thermodynamics, heat transfer, CFD, and fluid mechanics.
Before joining EnginSoft USA, Dr. Li served as a Research Associate and Instructor at the Alan Levin Department of Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering at Kansas State University. His research primarily centered on validating large eddy simulations for modeling micro-structured enhanced heat transfer surfaces. With extensive experience in numerical simulations using various CFD software and proficiency in Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV), Dr. Li has significantly contributed to understanding flow characteristics and heat transfer coefficients.
In academia, Dr. Li taught courses such as Measurement and Instrumentation Laboratory, Heat Transfer, and Fluid Mechanics. His dedication to the field is reflected in his role as a reviewer for several prestigious journals and active participation in professional organizations like ASME, ASHRAE, and ASTFE. His exceptional work in flow visualization earned him the Robert I-Jen and Sophia Shui-Kan Jung Graduate Scholarship. Additionally, he has an impressive record of publications in high-impact journals and presentations at international conferences. In 2023, Dr. Li was recognized as one of the four outstanding reviewers for the ASME Journal of Fluids Engineering.
“The addition of Dr. Li will allow us to expand our efforts to advance CFD applications, enhance client support, and foster innovation in solving complex fluid dynamics challenges,” stated Chris Wilkes, President and CEO of EnginSoft USA. “His leadership will undoubtedly elevate our department and strengthen our position as a leader in engineering simulation solutions.”
